One way to improve your production score is to learn how to describe a photo well. It is not easy, but with practice and by learning a few strategies you can quickly improve!

This lesson is all about the Speak About the Photo question. 

You will:

• learn a simple way to organize your answer
• get ideas that will help you speak for longer
• study 7 sample answers.

👇 Here are some ideas 

1 General overview. Say what the photo is mainly about.

Example:  This is a photo of six or seven firefighters getting out of a red helicopter. 

2 Who is doing what? Talk about the actions of the main subjects in the photo.

Example: A few of the firefighters are chatting while the others are taking some objects out of the helicopter. 

3 What is where? Talk about the location of the objects in the photo.

Example: They’re in an open grassy field, and there is a forest in the background.

4 Speculate. Make a guess about what is happening. 

Example: If I had to guess, I’d say that they’re probably getting ready to do some practice drills.
