Imagine this 👉 You've spent weeks preparing for the Duolingo English Test. After finally taking the test, you feel confident and eagerly await your high score. However, 2 days later, your excitement quickly turns to disappointment when you get a message stating that your test was invalid for breaking the rules 👇

Luckily, Duolingo often lets you to take the test again for free! 🙏

So, let's talk about the important rules you need to understand to avoid getting an invalid test.

👇 Here's the low-down:

🏠 Your Test Space

You can take the test anywhere you want. But remember these important points:

• The room needs to be quiet.
• You must be alone.
• The room needs to be bright so the webcam can record your face clearly.
• You need good internet connection (> 2 Mbps download,1 Mbps upload).

✅ Test Rules

Here are the important rules you must follow:

• No Notes or Phones: Keep them away! You can't use notes, a pen, or your phone during the test.
• Keep Your Eyes on the Screen: Except for looking at the keyboard, don't let your eyes wander away from the screen.
• Use Your Own ID: It's important to be you! Don't use someone else's name or ID card.
• Don't Use Grammarly: You must close all other programs before taking the test–especially, programs like Grammarly.
• Don't use a Second Monitor

🧐 Common questions:

• Can I look at my keyboard? Yes, but not all the time.
• Can I use headphones? No, your ears need to be visible.
• Can I think out loud? Probably best to think silently.
• Can I use external speakers, keyboard, and webcam? Yes!
• Can I memorize answers? No.
• Can I take the test on my phone? No, you must use a computer.
• Can I make two accounts? Absolutely not!
