1. Not focusing enough on speaking and writing

These are the most important parts of the test, and there are 7 speaking and writing questions in total!

They have a big impact on your overall score, and they are often the fastest to improve when you learn the right strategies.

That is why I focus on them so much in my YouTube videos and VIP lessons.

2. Taking the test before you are ready

A lot of students book too early.

If you feel very nervous, it is often a sign that you are not fully prepared yet.

It is much better to practise properly first than waste time and money on a bad attempt.

3. Not understanding the rules

Some students lose their result because of simple mistakes like:

• wearing earphones
• using Grammarly
• breaking test rules without realising it

Make sure you understand the rules before test day.

4. Ignoring your biggest weakness

Sometimes one small weakness is the only thing holding a student back.

It could be:

• grammar mistakes
• weak pronunciation
• poor writing structure
• speaking answers that are too short
