New DET Format (Starting July 1, 2025)

Here’s what’s changing:

🗣️ New Speaking Question: Interactive Speaking

You’ll have a real-time conversation with a Duolingo character.

✅ 6–8 speaking questions covering 2 topics

✅ You listen to a question and answer (you can only listen once!)

✅ 35 seconds per answer

✅ Scored on fluency, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation

🎧 Updated: Interactive Listening

A new "Listen and Complete" task has been added before the conversation begins! (I'll share more on this as soon as I have more information.)

These will no longer be on the DET from July 1st onwards.
