G'day, ,

Well, that's one month down already. 🙄

What did you get up to in the second half of January?

Are you on track to achieve your goals?

I've been mostly following my exercise plan—so far, so good! I only hope I can keep up the momentum.

After binge-watching Wednesday (which we thoroughly enjoyed), Hubby and I have started watching YOU on Netflix. I couldn't help but chuckle at Joe's inner monologue. He's morally gray but he's also kind-hearted—making him quite a compelling character.

Since we're all here for the books, I've been sharing some of my all-time favourite reads in my Facebook Reader Group each week. If you're interested in finding out what they are, feel free to click the link and answer the questions. I'd love to have you join us.

What have you been reading lately?

Each month I've been sharing a template to help readers in my group track the books they read. We've been doing this for some time in the group and I thought you guys may find it useful too.

You can download the template and paste the cover of each book you read during the month. I use the free program, Canva to do this. Have fun!

Now, on to what I've been up to.

I've been busy working behind the scenes on an exciting project. Remember in my last newsletter, I said I was working to take my author-ing to the next level?

Part of that process is working out my 'style'.

When I first started writing, I wrote the types of stories I wanted to read. I had no idea how my 'style' would develop or how I would like to progress into the future. After five books, I think I've found my feet and I have more of an idea of the types of books I'd like to keep writing for you.

That process led me to think about how I want everything to look and how I want my work to be represented.

I'm hopeful that over the next several newsletters I'll be able to share my progress with you all. After all, I wouldn't be writing this newsletter without you.

So be sure to keep an eye out for my exciting news!

—•—

I'm on the home stretch of the first draft of Finn and Harriet's story for the Falling for the Enemy anthology which releases June 6, 2023.

These two have been a lot of fun to write, so I thought I'd share another short snippet with you.

Whenever I’m with her, I want to do filthy things to her, but those thoughts are the furthest from my mind right now. I want to comfort her and take away her pain. I want to draw it out of her and eliminate her sadness. I want to see sparks flying from her eyes, not tears falling from them. ~ Finn Brady

Oh, to have a man who accepts every single part of you—the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful! I think you're really going to fall in love with these two.
