I don't know if you remember my last email, but I mentioned a plan to drive out to the country to see the wildflowers. Well, hubby and I went for a drive.

It wasn't very successful, and we felt we'd been led on a wild goose (or should I say, wild flower) chase. We saw some pretty wildflowers scattered here and there, but they weren't en masse, like I was expecting.

As disappointing as it was, we still enjoyed a nice spring day out! Small country towns have such a different feel to them from the city and I love checking out the local shops with crafts made by members of the community.

I had a great reading month, starting with five hot billionaires expertly delivered by Louise Bay. Each one determined not to fall in love, but we all know how that turns out! I also read the last book in The Rules series by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward, and while this one wasn't my favourite in the series, I loved all of Brayden's green flags! I chuckled hard while reading my Favorite Boss by Melanie Moreland. A fantastic grumpy/sunshine workplace romance. You really must give this book a read. And, finally, I'm stepping back into the darkness that is Pepper Winters. The woman knows how to write a morally grey character like nobody else. Yes, now and then, I like to take a walk on the darker side—it makes me appreciate all the cinnamon rolls out there.
