We've been saving up for most of our married lives to be able to travel to Canada. It's been on my hubby's bucket list for a long time and it's sort of now or never to make it happen seeing as he'll be retiring next year.

Do you have a place that you'd love to travel on your bucket list?

We're now on the countdown and it feels unreal! We've planned our roadtrip and booked most of our big ticket adventures. I fear it's going to be here before I'm ready and then it'll be over before I know it. My hubby has wanted to travel to Canada, particularly Lake Louise and Banff, for a long time, so this is a dream come true for him. There's going to be a LOT of hiking, so I've started walking five kilometres three times a week. I'll need to increase it over the coming weeks, but I had to start somewhere to get fit enough to keep up with our nineteen year-old son. He has these grand plans of hiking almost every day.

S: We should do this hike. (points to a hike that goes up the side of a freaking mountain)

Me: That's a long hike.

S: But it's only eight ks, Mum.

Me: Yeah, that's eight ks there and eight ks back.

S: So ...

Me: That makes sixteen ks and I'm fifty-five and your dad is sixty-seven

S:

Me: Do you get it? We're not as young and fit as you ...

S:

Me: We'll do our best, but I don't want to die of a heart attack on holiday

S: God, Mum, you're so dramatic

I bet he's wishing he wasn't coming with us old folk now. 🤣🤣🤣

With it being the start of a new month, I have a fresh reading tracker for you. Last month I fell down the T L Swan rabbit hole. I have to confess that it took me a little while to get used to her writing style, but once I did, I became hooked on her stories. My favourite so far has been The Takeover. It had some real laugh out loud moments, but there were also some heartfelt scenes that really tugged on the heart strings. All I'm going to say is: Everybody needs a Tristan "Fucking" Miles in their corner.

And I'm so excited for you to meet Hope, Evan, and Ben. This is the second book in the Everlasting series and it will have ALL THE FEELS ...
