{{contact.first_name}}, I have a title and cover reveal for you
Apr 04, 2023 11:00 am
G'day, ,
I hope you've had a great month since we were last in touch.
First things first. I wanted to thank you for making the cover reveals for my books such a success. After months of work to find the perfect images and create designs I could feel proud of, the reveals across social media went amazingly well and I have you and your support to thank for that. So thank you!
In the craziness of the reveals, I forgot to give you your reading tracker for March. I'm so sorry, it was such a busy time for me with a thousand things on the go at once.
While I'm sharing reading trackers, I may as well give you your tracker for April! I hope you find these useful to keep a record of all the amazing books you've been reading.
I'd love to see your trackers with the books you've read. Feel free to send them to me or share them in my readers' group.
My anthology piece is currently with the editor for their final proofread, which means the release of the Falling for the Enemy anthology is getting closer!
When I was placing the edits, I giggled at this part which I shared in my readers' group during the week. I hope you find it funny too.
“Calm down,” he says as he holds his hands up as though he’s warding off an attack. I can’t believe he thinks telling a riled-up woman to calm down is okay. Maybe this guy is more of an idiot than an asshole.
I grit my teeth. “You did not just tell me to calm down. I have every right to be angry. You’ve done nothing to help the situation, and you stand there like your shit doesn’t stink and tell me to calm down. Get out!” I fling my arm out toward the door, but he doesn’t move. “I said, get out. Get out of my café and never come back here.”
That stupidly sexy smirk appears again. “You’re fucking stunning when you’re angry. Anyone ever tell you that?”
That’s it. I step around the counter, my lungs heaving with my anger, and press my hands against the hard planes of his chest to push him out of my café. “I’ve asked you to leave. Now get out.” I push and he moves a little, but I’m pretty sure it’s only because he wants to.
“If you wanted to touch me, all you had to do was say so. I wouldn’t mind.”
“Aaaah!” I almost scream as I continue to push him toward the door. Geez, he smells good. Damn him. He finally moves. “Get out before I grab one of my rolling pins and hit you over the head with it.” ~Harriet Dubois
I can't wait for you to meet Finn and Harriet. And because you've signed up for my newsletter, you'll be the first to see the cover and the title! Ta-da!
You may have guessed that this story is a spin-off from the Kisses series, as Finn is the owner of Brady's Pub and Max's friend.
Psst! You've met Max in Moonlit Kisses.
