G'day, ,
Uhmmm, where's the year gone?
I feel like I comment about how fast the year's gone in every newsletter. But this year really has flown by. How's November treating you so far?
Thank you to everyone who emailed to tell me their top five favourite tropes. I now have a handy dandy list I can work into future books. There were definitely some common tropes among you all that I'm excited to explore.
After my sister's passing, I got a wild hair to go through our house and do a clean out of crap we're just holding onto for no good reason. It's been a trip down memory lane, but it's also been cleansing in a way I didn't expect. I still had stuff from the boys' athletic carnival days and fabric off-cuts from baby clothes I'd sewn for them when they were small, taking up unnecessary space. Now my linen cupboard is no longer packed to the brim and I can actually find stuff. YAY! I've actually been giving most of it away, so it has a second life and won't go to waste.
We're also rearranging how we use the space in a couple of rooms, which is going to leave us with an empty room that I'll need to work out what to do with. But I feel like that's a good problem to have.
How did you do with your book boyfriend collecting in October?
Who was your favourite book boyfriend?
I did pretty well and found a couple of new ones for my collection.
Jesse from We're Made of Moments by Molly McLain, Ridley from Bad Husband by Shey Stahl (written entirely from the male POV and very funny) and Jake from Single Dad Seeks Juliet by Max Monroe (this one gave me bangxiety but it was really enjoyable).
Here's your November reading tracker! I hope you love it.
Go forth and find those book boyfriends.

Meet Me In Milwaukee is an intimate romance author/reader event held in Milwaukee, WI.

I won't be in attendance, but I wanted to let you know about it.
I really shouldn't tell you anything about this, but over the past few days, I've been busy writing a 10K-word piece for a super secret project coming next year.
You have to know how tough it would be for me to write something so short, but I was proud of myself for keeping within the set limit. It had to be direct and to the point so it's short, sharp, and HOT!
Oh-kay, you twisted my arm to give you a hint ... it's a short introductory piece that goes right back to the beginning, before Loving Summer. That's really all I can say—for now!
Keep your eyes peeled for more info in early 2024!
