My youngest son is 19 today! I don't know where the years have gone, but I'm so proud of the young man he's becoming. It's ironic really, when they're babies, the sleepless nights seem neverending, and we can't wait for them to learn how to walk, speak, and do things for themselves ... yet, now, looking back, the time flew by, and in the blink of an eye my baby is a grown man. There's a certain nostalgia that fills me on days like this as I look back and while I'm thrilled to watch him forge his path, I miss the days when he looked to me for everything.

I also attended the second birthday of my sister's granddaughter.

She wasn't there.

It was so damn tough not to break down but I didn't want to spoil the party with my tears. I know time will make things easier, but I'm not there yet.

Did I tell you that she used to tell people that I wrote 'racy' books? I probably have, but every time I think about her doing that ... as though it's somehow naughty, it makes me smile. And that's what I want to do when I think of her.

UGH. I loved this story SO SO SO SO SO much. I felt like we had full-circle moments that were so lovely and needed. These characters were so incredible, and the depth was AWESOME.

I've been tearing up as I've been working through the first round of edits so you're definitely going to need tissues with this one. Shane has a LOT to work through in his story. He not only has to forgive himself, he needs to work through issues within his relationships with his parents and Toby.

I'm getting closer to having a release date.
