November 15, 2020

November and that means National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) to many authors. My first three books were drafted during NaNoWriMo months back in 2012-2013. I've tried it a couple times since, but always had to drop out (real life can be a pain at times).

This year I'm determined to use it to get into the habit of writing daily. Getting my office set up with a monitor and keyboard for my laptop has certainly helped. Sitting on the sofa with the television on in the background just wasn't conducive to being productive.

What am I writing? I'm starting my Red Line Coffee series. Set in the fictional town of Jumpers Hole, three firefighters run a coffee shop together. A wide cast of locals, a dead body or two, various other mysteries will keep you jumping!

I've finished the first draft of the prequel, Roast & Rumors, and am now working on book one, Ventis & Victims. The prequel will introduce all the regular characters and hopefully whet readers' appetites for more. I'm unsure of the publication date. Maybe my readers can help? Here's a quick poll - I appreciate the input!

Since the last newsletter, I did get the prequel, Paradise Dawn, to my C'Mon Inn Mystery series published and it's available on Amazon for only $0.99. It gives us the back story of how the Thompson twins arrived in Hawaii as well as a little more mystery. I hope you enjoy it!
