We've just had a pretty busy week with veg boxes, thanks everyone. It's pleasing to see consistency in the number of boxes that we're doing at this time of year as it's the time where holidays are happening for some of you. It does seem that the word is getting about regarding how good our organic veggies are, and from this point we hope to keep increasing the number of boxes that we get out of the door each week.

Just a reminder here while we're on the subject, that to keep our current system going, we need you to let us know a couple of weeks in advance of planned breaks in your normal ordering schedule.

In contrast to the bouyant demand for veggies, we and other shops in the UK have been seeing a decrease in demand for refill goods. We're fortunate to have some very loyal refillers here in Buxton and beyond, but I do wonder why so many of us have got out of a really positive habit. You'll know our wonderful supplier of cleaning products, SESI who are based down in Oxford. They've painted quite a clear picture of the decrease in refill demand by revealing that 140 refill shops that they were supplying in the UK have closed!

So, like the fungal mycellium that connects life, we're reaching out. A little slower shopping in your week in a place where you might well meet like minded people or bump into people you already know does really help to offset some of the incessant busyness. And here you're a part of something bigger, supporting us and other passionate individuals who just want to demonstrate better solutions are possible. Grab an empty tub this week, refill your washing up bottle and come and be a part, we'd love to see you.

New kombucha

We've two new flavours of kombucha arriving on Monday. Both the cola and ginger kombucha are made by Suma and come highly recommended. It's cola for me every time, but there are plenty of you who love ginger too. I'll try them both for sure this coming week. Also, we keep getting asked for tart cherry juice at the mo, so we've ordered some in. All will be in store from Tuesday and are already available to add to your online order.
