Reaching out for help

Hi

This week I've had the pleasure of speaking to Robin Greenfield who some of you may be aware (for those who aren't, there's a link at the bottom).

Robin really speaks so passionately about the power of community and I asked for his input regarding the situation we're in as a small ethical business with the burning desire to do more.

Here's the background story.....

We really want to connect with more people, bring more people through our door and bring back people who have got out of the refill habit.

The trading situation is tricky and you may not be aware that huge numbers of refill shops are closing. We're not in that position ourselves, but it's not an easy time. Together, with the power of community, we know we can rise to the challenge though and make sure we're here way into the future.

Importantly we want to create the space to be able to talk about big issues, to help people make decent choices and really really importantly, to deepen that sense of community around this mission.

With community is at the heart of what we do, Rob's suggestion was to reach out to you and to not be afraid of asking for what we need.

Right now, we have a number of ideas, but to be able to work through those, we really need to find a couple more volunteers. We can guarantee that volunteering at Day Zero will be fun, and you'll be a part of the team of both staff and existing volunteers.

Please get in touch if you feel moved to help and we'll explore together how it could work for you. Oh, and we should mention that our volunteers get a decent discount off in-store purchases too.

Thank you in advance
