Your update from Day Zero

Hi ,
Now the skies have delivered our first snowfall of the winter, it feels alright to talk about Christmas!
Firstly, and more pressing than Christmas is at this stage, lets talk advent calendars! We're down to the last half a dozen and at this stage we can't source more. The remaining calendars are the Divine milk chocolate ones, which taste great and every purchase directly supports cocoa farmers. They'll be in demand this week, so get them on your order sharpish or if you're calling in to the shop, you can message us and ask for one or more to be put aside for you - that's not a problem.
We're finalising plans for our Christmas break and will let you know more about that nearer the time. Before that though comes the plan for your Christmas veg boxes.
The veg that we deliver on Thursday 19th December will be your Christmas delivery. The veg will get out to you on the same day it arrived with us, so its freshness will see you through a couple of weeks without any problems.
Our suppliers Organic North are then closed for the Christmas and New Year break, so the next delivery to you after 19th December will be on Thursday 9th January (so no deliveries on 26th Dec or 2nd Jan).
We'll put something in place at the beginning of December so you can pre-order Christmas veg boxes separately to your normal weekly ones. Just a heads up though, you will have to pre-order Christmas boxes on or before Sunday 9th December.
We're planning to offer those of you who normally "pick your own" the option of doing that for your Christmas box, alongside our standard sized boxes which will contain all you'd expect to see you through the festive season.
More details on all this next week.
Next, customer feedback showed that there was interest in being able to donate veggies to High Peak Foodbank. We've now put a system in place and that's already been spotted by a couple of you when you placed your most recent order.
In the area of our online shop where you order your veggies, we've added an option to allow you to donate in multiples of £5. This is something we've been planning for a little while, so it's been nice in the last couple of weeks to drop off some delicious veg at Zink HQ. Thank you!
And finally, we've switched supplier for our peppermint tea, but I promise you it's just as good. Not only that, but we now have a loose spearmint+peppermint combined which tastes so fresh, it's great. And the news gets better, because there's a price drop here too, your peppermint loose tea is now £1 per 100g cheaper than it used to be!
After all that excitement, if you're ready to order for the coming week, you can do so via the button below.
Thanks for your support.
