I'm gearing up for my first big book signing of the year, and opening boxes of new books to bring with me reminds me how much I love doing in-person events. I know, I know. Just last week I told you how terrified I am of public speaking. But book signings are sooo different. It's the one-on-one interactions I love, especially with book-minded people.

Next weekend I'll be in Bishop Hill, Illinois which is a historic Swedish settlement in northwestern Illinois. Many years ago I visited with my mother-in-law and daughter when she was just a toddler. I remember cute shops and delicious pie. I'm looking forward to the return to see how it's changed.

I know it's probably impossible for most of you to pop by, but just in case you're in the neighborhood, I'd love to match some faces to names!

I've been working on Love, Lies and Literature this month (formerly Love Between the Lines with the Sweet and Swoony promotion). It will become Book #7 in the Blueberry Point Romance series, releasing at the end of May. The book has grown from a novella to a full-length novel with a side plot, and the introduction of a character who will appear with her own story in my new series. For those of you who haven't downloaded the book through the Sweet and Swoony promotion, this book will go on pre-order for $.99 sometime in April. I'll post an announcement when it's available.

I've got a big pot of corn and potato chowder to prep for the Lenten service tonight so I'd better get to it. I haven't tried this particular recipe before but everything I've tried from this cookbook has been perfection⏤I'm confident! (watch, this one recipe will turn out to be the exception). I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week and a relaxing weekend.
