Hello Dear Reader!
So, I've been aching to get in the car and go. Maybe it's the warm spring breezes that have been riding on the back of winter's final breath. Or the weeks I've planted myself in the same hard-bottomed chair, staring at the screen for hours each day while I finish up Love, Love and Lullabies. Whatever it is, I've been restless and itching to travel. And the ten miles to the grocery store just isn't cutting it any longer.
Last Friday we loaded our truck with left-behind furniture and other odds and ends from our two sons' closets which didn't make the trip to their respective new homes the first time around. A bed frame, office chair, bike rack, and clothes were gathered and stuffed into the truck for the triangle trip from Illinois to Texas then Wyoming. It's a whirlwind, ten-day trip to see them again, do some limited sightseeing, and visit with extended family members along the way. At this moment, we're headed to Denver. Tomorrow, Laramie. I have my binder with Love, Lies and Lavender along for the ride. I'm in final revision mode, so the 16-hour legs of our trip are perfect for rereading the manuscript and polishing it for the editor.

THIS month my Facebook Reader Group kicked off a March National Reading Month Challenge. We're having tons of fun with weekly reading challenges which are leading up to a final fun challenge on March 28th (and exciting announcement). If you'd like to hear more frequently about what I'm working on, help me name book characters, get advance notice on sales and other cool bookish events, consider joining. It's an up-close and personal place to be if you want to hear about the fun and sometimes weird inner workings of one writer's life (me!) and like to hang out with other book-loving friends. I hope you'll join us!
UNTIL next time and Happy Reading!
