Hello, Dear Readers!
I subbed yesterday and today for the second- and third-grade art classes in the school district north of me. The two-day job also included lunch and bus duty. My ears are still ringing.
Every once in a while I have to get away from my laptop and poke my head out into the world to see what's happening. I've been subbing since 2004, but I haven't subbed since 2021 when I covered my daughter's maternity leave, and I didn't sub at all in 2020 due to COVID. Masks and I don't mix well. I have a tendency to mumble, so the poor kids would have struggled to hear me.
Despite the random hugs and the handful of drawings made especially for me, I won't be subbing regularly anymore. I'm lucky enough to be able to do what I love⏤write full-time.

I've suffered from shiny object syndrome since the beginning of the year, debating about which books to release in the latter part of the year after Apple Blossom Dreams publishes later this spring. I know there will be a Christmas book, but nailing down which one of two will release is giving me fits. I'm excited to write BOTH, but I'm not James Patterson with a stable of ghost writers at my beck and call; there's only time to write one. Plus, I have a new project which I'm not ready to announce yet, but I'M SO EXCITED to be a part of this multi-author series! This means there will also be a fall book releasing in October. More details coming soon!
So, the publishing schedule looks like this:
Apple Blossom Dreams (Port Chance #2, June, if not sooner)
Mystery Book (October 14th)
Christmas Book (Port Chance #3 or stand-alone rom com (November)

My daily Bookbub email popped up today with The Minuscule Mansion of Myra Malone on sale. The title intrigued me and the cover, and then I read the description in which the book was sold as one fans of Sarah Addison Allen would enjoy, and that sold it for me right there. So that one's next on my list to read as soon as I finish The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend. What are you reading now?
