We should be rolling into Austin sometime today to visit our son, and I'm told this is the worst possible week to be in town this year.
Don't get me wrong, he's thrilled to have us come. He made a plan weeks ago. But there's some big football-y thing going on (any Texas or Georgia fans here?). There's also an F1 Grand Prix race happening, AND Eminen kicks off his tour on Saturday. So, these three events converging in Austin during the week we're coming means there will be an extra gajillion people in the same city. Driving in Austin is already a nightmare by my rural central Illinois standards. But I'm thinking an extra big squeezy hug from him and some BBQ will make it worth my while.
