The die is cast...
... and so is the play! We'll be doing a staged reading of the play sponsored by the Greensboro City Arts organization on December 11. The play is a silly medieval comedy about a kingdom that is dangerously short on citizens.

We've found nine willing cast members to cover all the roles plus the stage directions (which are read aloud in a staged reading rather than performed). About half of the cast is comedian friends of mine from The Idiot Box where I have done improv comedy for the past 20 years, and the other half are people who are active in local community theatre organizations, some of whom I've performed with in the three plays I've done since starting stage acting again a few years ago, and some whom I will meet for the first time through this opportunity. My good friend Matthew Cravey will direct. I wrote the play early this year and have been workshopping it with various folks since then, including Greensboro's monthly Playwrights' Forum. If you can make it on Dec. 11th, you're welcome!
