Mars in Taurus

On Tuesday 5/07 Mars will ingress into the stable, conservative sign of Taurus, moving out of the adventurous sign of Aries. This will bring about a significant change in how we will want to use our energy this month. 

Mars, aka ‘The red planet’ is fourth away from the sun and is the most explored planet in our solar system, with two rovers currently exploring the surface. Mars’s red appearance is due to the high iron content in the martian soil. In astrology Mars represents desire energy and action it is like the inner beast that we all have. 

Mars is in its detriment in Taurus, because it is all about taking action and defeating any enemy in its way. On the other hand, Taurus is a slow-moving peaceful sign ruled by Venus. This means that all the energy from Mars is forced to slow down and focus on the practical things that its needs to sustain itself (food, sleep, sex etc.)

To make the most of this energy we will need to focus our effort and energy on building simple habits around what we eat, spend and how we look after our bodies, and with Mercury moving into Cancer on the same day we will get the mental support we need to do so. 

Mercury in Cancer

Also on Tuesday 5/07, Mercury moves into the caring sign of Cancer. Giving is a focus on nurturing ourselves and our loved ones. 

Mercury is the smallest yet fastest planet in our solar system and has been known by most previous cultures as it can never move too far from the sun in the sky. In astrology, Mercury represents the brain or how we think/communicate. 

Cancer is the mother of the zodiac so when the fast-moving Mercury moves into this sign it will give us more emotional intelligence. We will be thinking more about nurturing ourselves and our family members, along with the Mars in Taurus energy a visit to a couple of restaurants or spas may also be coming to mind currently.

Whilst Mercury and the Sun is in Cancer it is a great time to look at our selves love routines and see how we can improve them to better suit what we truly want it life
