Lady Liberty wasn't always green

Technically, she's covered in a thin layer of copper that started oxidizing around the 1920's, so she used to be golden brown. She also has a similar iron skeleton to the Eiffel Tower that allows her to sway a bit in the wind, she gets hit by lightning around 600 times a year, and Thomas Edison wanted to install a gramophone inside so she would be able to speak, but that got shot down. Can you imagine, a 305 foot statue talking at you? Maybe not so unusual in this day and age, but I'd find that a bit unnerving after dark, personally.

And that's your history lesson for today! Now enjoy this much smaller, lighter, non-speaking version that will gather your hair against the wind, whether you sway or not:

If statues aren't your thing, the star is pretty too, and it works for several occasions. You can be the star wherever you go!

Lastly, our special this month is about your mane itself - orders of $50+ get you a free hair mascara, and orders of $100+ get you a free hair essential.

A blunt review here: I am personally not a big fan of our hair mascaras. I have tried them in a few colors, and while I understand that this is not dye and a dark brunette cannot expect miracles, I was hoping for at least a good tint, and it took a lot of application to get a subtle hint of color. That alone I could have dealt with, but the mess was worse. This stuff comes off instantly. On everything. It came off on my comb (thankfully a cheap plastic one I only used for this purpose), it came off on my fingers, though easily washed off, and it came off on my headphones, the band part that rests on top of my head. Again, easily cleaned off, but still a nuisance. I asked around about this, and I was only told I'm not supposed to brush my hair after application.

What.

Perhaps if you apply it to your roots or ends for the day and make sure it doesn't touch anything before you wash it out that night, it would be fine, but it's just too much hassle for me, so I haven't used up what I have, and I don't really promote them. I'd say you're much better off with our essentials, but you're not obligated to plunk down $100 to get one for free when you can just buy one or two to try out. I recommend our hair towel for lasting value, and the sea salt spray for some great texture and body.

And that's it for now! Enjoy your liberty responsibly.
