I know, I know. I didn't think the day would come. But this poor thing has been through enough. Namely me. I was intentionally ungentle with my Flexi Sport, to see how well it would hold up, and for a long time it was just fine.
Then the tip broke off. I think I was trying to cram too much hair in, and it finally gave way. There was one notch left, so I just used it with the pin curved inward on the smaller size, which made it tougher to use for putting all my hair up, but I dealt with it. For a long time.
Then, finally, the pin snapped under pressure. It's just done.
As you can see, it's the pin that broke in two places, but the figure eight is still totally fine and flexible. I'm still debating whether I can just take it off the pin and use it for something. I know I should toss it, but it's difficult. I've never had this happen with any of my Flexis. The regular Flexis with beads and wire can be fixed if they snap, but I don't know about the Sports, since they're mostly plastic. Still, I vouch for their durability. Putting up with a clumsy ox like me isn't easy. I'm using a new Sport now, a newer model, and we'll see how long this one lasts, perhaps another few years or so. It's still more comfortable and loads better than my luck with claw clips back in the day! Broken teeth everywhere...
In the meantime, it's now November, and that means two things: cold weather, and holiday shopping! We're already gearing up for Christmas, especially so people can get their orders in time.
