I admit, U-pins can still be hit and miss with me, but I have one that I like using sometimes. (Actually, it's in my hair right now. Go figure!) We have a few different types, which I've tried: there are pairs of decorated metal pins, there are Swerve pins which are very nice, and there are acrylic pins. What I've been using the most often, surprising myself, is the acrylic pin. I got one on a whim a while back, even though I thought when they first came out that I wouldn't be interested, and it's actually pretty good. Nice and comfortable once I get it in right. I'm even thinking of getting a couple more colors, because it comes in LOTS of colors.
