I resigned two weeks ago. Here’s why I’m not panicking.

Hey ,

Two weeks ago, I made a decision that surprised even me a little.

I resigned from one of the brands I work with.

Not because I hated the job. Not because I didn’t like the people.

But because it was taking too much from me.

Too much time.

Too much energy.

Too much of me.

I tried to make it work. Tried to balance it all.

But deep down, I knew—it was time to move on.

Now, to be clear: I still work with other brands.

But this one was the most demanding. The most consuming.

And walking away meant one thing:

There might be a drop in my finances for a while.

Am I scared?

No.

Have I gotten a replacement job yet?

Not yet.

Am I worried?

Honestly, not even a bit.

Why?

Because there’s a level of calm that comes when you know what you’re good at.

When you’ve built the skill, done the work, delivered excellence over time,

You’re not afraid of what’s next.

You’re just preparing for it.

So what have I been doing since then?

✅ I’ve kept writing (in fact, the draft I’ve been working on is done—just minor edits left).

✅ I’ve started upskilling into growth marketing—learning, studying, stretching.

Sometimes, we stay in spaces not because they’re right for us, but because they’re familiar.

But growth doesn’t come from staying where you’re drained.

It comes from choosing your progress, even when it feels risky.

If you’re in a space right now that’s choking and leaving you empty, maybe it’s time to ask:

What’s this really costing me?

You may not have all the answers yet. That’s okay.

Just don’t ignore the signs when it’s time to move.

Keep growing.

Keep becoming.

Your Fave,

Darasimi
