Cherish What You Have: Growth Starts Now

Mar 27, 2024 7:00 am

Hi ,

Imagine this: you wake up one morning and your favorite mug, the one chipped from years of use, is gone. Maybe it broke, or someone accidentally threw it out. A pang of unexpected sadness hits you. It was just a mug, right? But then you remember the countless mornings it held your tea, the late-night study sessions it fueled, the laughter it shared.

This is what happens when we wait to appreciate what we have until it's gone. Life is full of precious things, from our loved ones to our health, to the small, everyday moments. Yet, we often take them for granted.

Just as I told my proteges yesterday during my session, I'm telling you today ; Don't wait to lose what you have before you value it.

Here's why that hinders growth:

* Missed opportunities to learn:

When we don't value something, we don't put effort into understanding or nurturing it. This applies to relationships, careers, and even our own well-being.

* Regret over lost potential:

Losing something makes us acutely aware of its worth. But growth thrives on proactive appreciation. By cherishing what we have, we invest in its potential and our own.

So, how can we cultivate this appreciation? Here's a tip:

* Practice gratitude:

Take a moment each day to reflect on the things you're grateful for, big or small. This simple act shifts your focus to the positive and fosters a sense of abundance.

Remember, growth isn't about waiting for loss. It's about cherishing what you have now and making the most of it.

Tell me, , what are you grateful for?

Stay Jiggy,

Darasimi
