Grateful for Life and Health

Health will always humble you.

Hi ,

I was away for over ten days, and it wasn’t planned.

I was hospitalized for a few days due to sub-acute appendicitis.

It was my first time ever being admitted into a hospital, and honestly, it’s not an experience I’m eager to repeat.

Over the space of about three days, I received more than twenty IV drips and over twenty injections.

There were moments when the process became complicated and painful.

At different points, my veins reacted badly and it took a toll on me physically.

Beyond my own experience, seeing other patients and different cases around me put a lot into perspective.

This newsletter is not about fear.

It’s about gratitude.

We often move through life assuming our bodies will always cooperate.

We plan.

We work.

We chase goals.

We push ourselves.

I work a lot.

I rarely slowed down.

But when health challenges showed up, everything stopped.

I had to take about nine days completely off work.

No negotiations.

No shortcuts.

Health will always humble you.

It reminded me of something very simple but important:

Without good health, productivity means nothing.

Ambition means nothing.

Plans mean nothing.

Life itself is the foundation.

So today, I’m grateful.

Grateful for life.

Grateful for recovery.

Grateful for the chance to continue doing meaningful work.

If there’s one takeaway I want to leave you with, it’s this:

Please take your health seriously.

Rest when you need to.

Listen to your body.

Don’t postpone care.

Don’t assume strength is endless.

I’m glad to be back.

And I’m even more committed to serving you better, with more perspective and balance than before.

Your Fave,

Darasimi.
