My Best SAT Tips From This Week

Hey everyone,

Past couple weeks have been busy running our SAT Bootcamp (which is now accepting spots for this October's test!)

So what exactly have we been covering?

One thing that everyone seems to love is the sheer amount of problems we were able to solve with Desmos. Yes, the literal graphing calculator that's built into the SAT. I've always loved using this tool, but even I was surprised at some of the things I picked up while going through these problems!

Now there are far too many tips for me to list in the email, but here's a pretty important one I want to share:

Sliders.

No, not the sandwich. I mean the feature where you can type in a function with an arbitrary constant (like "c" or "k"), click "add slider", and Desmos will allow you to smoothly "slide" along a range of values to explore how the graph of that function changes when the constant is changed.

Try it out on this problem and let me know what you think. (I was able to solve it live in under 20 seconds. Let me know if you beat me!)
