She sends an email on American Thanksgiving and then wonders why only her mom opened her message... silly, Canadian! 🥴 🇨🇦

Hello !

If you participated in a traditional—or traditional-lite—Thanksgiving this weekend, I hope you've fully recovered from your turkey coma.

Several years ago my family got together for Thanksgiving. It was the first time in almost two decades that my brother, sister, and I had managed to get ourselves to the same country for the event. My brother, being a chef, took over all the cooking and baking. All I will say is that his gift to us was making an equal number of pies to mouths at the table... all different...

Pumpkin, apple, pecan, cherry, blackberry, strawberry-rhubarb, and six more, including a savory pork tortière... in total, after a full proper turkey dinner with all the fixings, we were forced to eat so. much. pie. That was eight years ago and we still talk about it with strained voices.

If you're taking it easy today and have some room on your e-reader, pop over to check out these two promos. The books are on sale—or were at the start of the weekend.

The books I've highlighted are just a few among the many that are getting great reviews on Goodreads. Check them both out!
