🎉 IMPORTANT - PNR coloring book update

Dec 28, 2021 8:19 pm

Hello !

First off - thanks so much for joining the PNR coloring book, reader challenge, list-builder extravaganza with me!

We have over 30 authors in this project and so many fun, clever, interesting coloring pages.

At the bottom I'll give you a reminder of all the ways I'll be sharing your book's coloring page - but in case you're busy, this is the critical part of this email that needs your attention:

1. Send me a QUOTE from your featured book!

In the Amazon version of the coloring book, on the page adjacent to your coloring page which names your book title as the recommended read to fulfill the challenge, is a quote from the story.

The quote you choose will work best if it's something that you can see as Pinterest-worthy - you know, a quote that people connect to and might want to share. Shorter is better, but up to 25 words looks okay.

Here are some good examples from the first Romance Lovers Coloring Book:

We stared at each other, carrying on a dozen different conversations without saying a word. ~Mindy Klasky

In the moments between heartbeats I was held captive. And I had no escape plan. ~Liz Matis

Love, and only love, heals a heart. ~Eva Delaney

Sometimes it takes one wounded soul to recognize another. ~Gabbi Black

If you can't find a quote, don't have time or just don't care to, I'll find one for you. Here are a couple of examples from the last book.

When I look at you, everything I've ever wanted is right in front of me. ~Anonymous

If I had to choose between breathing and loving you I would use my last breath to tell you I love you. ~DeAnna Anderson

Please send your book's quote to me by end of day, December 30.

My plan is to upload the book to Amazon on Dec 31 so it's ready in the first few days of January.

I'll upload the file and set the price at break-even ($3.99 USD or alt currency equivalent) for the first 2 weeks so you can buy copies, if you'd like, at a lower price than having me buy author copies and mailing them to you.

2. Schedule an email in January to share the FREE printable

One of the elements of this project is a list-builder. The book being given away is the full coloring book / reader challenge with your images and book recommendations as a PDF that readers get from BookFunnel.

The BF page will be set-up to let people know that they'll be subscribed to all participating author's lists; it is GDPR complaint. At the end of January - after we've each shared the offer to get the coloring book at least once with our lists - I'll send you the file with the names and email addresses of everyone who downloaded it.

3. Facebook group to coloring challenge authors

If you want to be added to the Facebook group where the authors of the first book chat and have been sharing ideas about sharing their pages, you can join here UNTIL December 31 - at which point I'll make this private group invisible (except to members) again. After that you'll have to friend me and ask me to invite you to join. I also use this space to poll folks on ideas - like if they'd like a colorable bookmark of their coloring page. (They do!)

Other ways your coloring page will be featured

RomanceColoringChallenge.com

(& redirected from ColorfulRomance.ART)

There's no action required for this, just reminding you that I will be posting your coloring page, with the challenge copy and all the keywords you provided when you signed up, to https://www.romancecoloringchallenge.com/all-the-heroes/

The page has a pretty good search function. I'll keep working to improve it.

And, if you had your book cover made into a line drawing, AND your cover artist is okay with the drawing being shared on a website as a free download (NOT monetized in any way), I'll also put it here. Just let me know you'd like it added to this page https://www.romancecoloringchallenge.com/color-a-cover/.

#ColorfulRomance on Instagram

One thing most of the authors in the first coloring book group decided to do was offer a free ebook to a person they choose from the colored pages that are posted on social media. You can find a handful here.

https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/colorfulromance/

The holidays slowed down the promotion of this element, but starting in January it will kick into gear again. I hope some of you will color your own page and ask your readers to post their colored pages of your challenge with the #ColorfulRomance hashtag.

ColorfulRomance.glideapp.io

I'm in the process of creating an app with all the coloring reader challenges. So far I've uploaded the first book's authors and titles. I don't yet have a promotion strategy for this but it was an idea I thought would be fun to try since people love to gamify their challenges...

The app includes a link to each book's Amazon sales page in an effort to send more curious new readers to your title.

You're most welcome to sign-up, have a look, test it out. But don't share this yet - it's still in development. Your feedback is also most welcome!

If you have questions, I'm at my desk. Just hit reply!

Danika / Donna

PS - If you do just one thing right now - find and send me a short, quotable quote from your book, please!
