Hello and happy new year!
I hope you rung in the new year with some good energy. Mr. Bloom and I were in bed and sound asleep before 11pm.
Just imagine my heart attack when the phone rang at 11:30.
It was Mr. Bloom's ex-wife, the mother of their 21-year-old son. If your mind does what mine does when the phone rings late at night you can imagine where my heart was sitting as I reached to answer.
In a strange turning of the tables, Mr. Bloom's ex was calling since their son was worried that something had happened to his dad since he hadn't been replying to text messages! His son knew we'd been in the city to help my son move and, as is common on our highway on holidays and weekends, there'd been a bad accident.
So, I said goodbye to 2022 with a big hit of adrenaline that was exciting as fireworks!
Big plans for the year ahead
This feels scary to share but I'm a fan of public accountability. This coming year I plan to write and release four full-length novels in a new series about four billionaire brothers and their matriarch, who quietly manipulates how the billion-dollar business is being run from her seat on the board.
The series starts with a novella—the story that was in the Resolve Anthology, called The Billionaire's Brouhaha. It's still available in that collection with ten other novellas for just $0.99. But the price will be going up to $4.99 soon, so if you're on the fence, now's the time to hop off and grab it.
Anyway, writing four full-length novels in a year means I'll be busier than stink and need to adjust some of my commitments moving ahead.
This impacts you since I'll be changing my email schedule a little.
Writing stories from Bloomland every Saturday takes a few hours. I love it, but I need to spend some of those hours working on my new romance books. So every other week, instead of a love letter from me, I'll be sending you a free book.
