🥰 Gifts for everyone! I'm doing my best Oprah for you, {{contact.first_name}}!

Hey !
How long has it been since you've attended any kind of public event, like a play or a concert or a book reading?
I'm guessing, pretty close to a year.
The last performance that I saw was in February 2020, at DisneyLand with my kids—singing, dancing, fireworks... it really was the happiest place on Earth that night!
If you're missing the excitement of live events, I'd love for you to attend a live-via-video reading from my book First In: A steamy, small-town firefighter romance on Zoom this Sunday.
I'll read for 15-minutes, chat for another 15 to answer questions about the story, my experience as a volunteer firefighter and whatever else comes up. And before the half-hour event ends, I'll ask you to look under your chair to find a gift!
I hope you'll pop in. You don't need to have your camera on. You can sit at the back of the virtual room and just enjoy watching a grown woman blush at her own awkwardness on camera!
(There's a reason why writers are not actors or performers.)
Grab the link to the event here: https://geni.us/DanikaReading
Add it to your calendar with a 5-minute warning so you don't miss the riveting first lines of the story. Seriously, the story opens right in the action.
There will be prizes!
To thank you for coming to my first public reading, I'll randomly pick one person to mail a paperback copy of the book to. Everyone who stays until the end will get a secret link to a free copy of the ebook! Okay, so it may not be an Oprah-level gift, but it's something...
Yay to Valentine's Day presents!
I hope you'll come.
love & bravestuff,
Danika
PS — Here's the event link again. https://geni.us/DanikaReading. Save it and pop in to hear me read from First In on Valentine's Day at 1pm PST / 4pm EST.
If you feel like letting me know you're coming, it would calm my nerves a little. Imagining messing up in front of a crowd is somehow less stressful than imagining nobody showing up to my party.
