Some years ago, I noticed something interesting - a member of one of my coaching was sharing the flyers to our services at KINGS. Just before you ask what the big deal was? Here it is - the person was a muslin. He would take a screenshot of the flyer for each service and post on his own platforms.
I found it very interesting that a practicing muslim took the time to invite others to the church I pastor. He later told me that he had gotten so much value from my coaching sessions that he believed anything else I was hosting was going to be of great help to people and he wanted to help me spread the word about it.
On the other hand, there were some people who were closer to me, who had never stepped into any of our services. It got me thinking. How come a muslim was inviting others and some professing Christ-followers in my circle had not even made out the time to show up?
One day, during a relaxed conversation, I asked one of them, "How come you've never worshipped with us at KINGS... not even during our special events?" He said, "Because you've never invited me" WOW... I was in shock and disbelief. I said, "Have you not seen our flyers and invites on Instagram, WhatApp and Twitter (now X). He said, "That's general invitation, but you've never asked me in person. Of course, I was surprised.
It turns out that he wasn't the only one that was expecting me to ask them directly. My conversations with a few others ended up with similar responses. They all wanted personal invitations. Some of them literally accused me of not inviting them.
Well, years have passed and some have still not come. Thankfully, many others have joined us.
We may have met via a coaching, speaking, mentoring or other platform, but there's so much more God does through me than you may not have experienced yet. You may or may not be expecting this invitation from me, but here it is:
It's three days and I want you to enjoy this with us as we gather, grow and go further in God's plans for our lives. From the list of people coming to bless us, you can tell that this will be nothing short of amazing.
We are preparing for this and praying with great faith. It will be a special time of celebration, transformation and expansion. I want to see you there.
Please don't join those who accuse me of not inviting them. Show up live and let's have great time with God.
