Happy New Year again and like someone said to me today, "Happy first day of the year".
Can you believe we're 5 days into the year? Even if you don't believe it, it is what it is. LOL!
Like I promised, I'm sending you 6 messages to help you have an amazing 2026. This is the first one.
When I was a child, my siblings and I were often excited to plant seeds in our backyards. Interestingly, instead of planting the seeds in the ground, we would plant them inside little bowls, or plastic bottles that had been cut in half. Then, we would watch them over the following days to see whose own had grown the best.
As you can imagine, most of our seeds got destroyed by the 3rd or 4th day. Sad! Some of them didn't have enough water and died out. Some of them had too much water and got cooked by the heat of the sun. The general ideas was that we were inexperienced and immature. Our enthusiasm couldn't make up for our ignorance.
We hadn't learned well from our grandfather who had been farming for several decades. Unlike us, he reaped almost everything he planted every season. His techniques were advanced and he understood what kind of soil was suitable for the crop he desired to harvest.
He also knew the condition the soil needed to be in.
The fruit you harvest this year will not just depend on your diligence and strategy, it will be depended on the condition of your SOIL.
Even if you have all the hope and enthusiasm in the world, and your soil is not in the right condition, this year could go to waste.
I don't want that for you. So, here are the two things to pay attention to:
Take care of your INTERNAL SOIL: Your heart. The first and most important soil of your life is your heart. That's where God plants the seeds that will change your life and possibly, parts of the world.
If your heart is clogged up and full of thorns, you may choke out the life you were designed to export to others.
Probe your own heart and see if you have weights, anger and unresolved issues. You may be disappointed about some things in 2025, or uncertain about 2026. Are you scared, anxious, bitter or hurt? Have you dug out the stones and removed the weeds that take up space and suck up resources?
It's important you start out with your heart in the right condition.
The second part of your soil is EXTERNAL: Your basis of, and foundation for work.
Is your workspace cluttered or chaotic? Are you diving deep or still hanging around the surface? Are you in the right field or are you just playing around that space because everyone calls it the next big thing?
Revisit your reasons and reasoning about your assignment. There's no need getting new tools for the wrong task. There's no need buying better running shoes for the wrong race.
Meditate on these things and work on your soil like a diligent and wise farmer,.
