I promise you - these are not stock images. They are real pictures from my kitchen. I took them sometime in 2012 as part of my attempt to document my journey through life.
Most of my meals were either fast foods or pasta - or food that came as a package during my itinerary engagements.
Talk about bachelor life. LOL.
I'm not a foodie. I've never really been into food like some other people, so I don't even spend a lot of time thinking about it.
That said, that season was also a crucial time for me, I was actually putting money together to in preparation for marriage and family life, so I was extra-frugal and extremely judicious with my use of resources- especially financial resources. I thought I would get married in 2013, but I eventually got married in 2014.
Anyway, one of the reasons, Indomie and Egg was a frequent feature on my menu was that I was stretching every naira and I was putting away resources for the future.
Now, may years have passed and I can afford to feed families from time to time - as God provides. Life is a journey, growth is beautiful and God is faithful.
Thinking about it now, I'm like "Wow. God is so good"
I don't know where you are now on your own journey, but it's important to take time to reflect on how far you've come by God's grace. From time to time, meditate on God's goodness and teh grace you've enjoyed as you've grown.
Reflections like this inspired the first line of the first verse of my song, "YOU ARE GOOD"
Here's the line:
All through the years, you've been so good, God
Where would I be without your love?
I am currently sharing some stories like this on my Instagram page. Click this link to follow them and I would love you to use the song "You Are Good" in your reels too. That's one way to support me as we spread this sound that echoes God's faithfulness.
The more we use the song in our reels (not just posts or stories), the more the social media algorithm favours and suggests it to others online.
See you on IG.
Dami :)
