Dear ,
Pleasure or pain?
Which would you prefer as your driver?
You can't choose none. If you are interested in moving, you would need a driver. Without a driver, you can't be driven.
You can't choose both, either.
Actually, you can, but how would you feel if you were in a car that has to stop and park to change drivers every 5 minutes? Frustrated, right? So, let’s focus on one.
If you choose pleasure, it means you're choosing to concentrate your thoughts on your destination and the great things that await you. The kind of person you would be, the amount of money you would have, the level of impact you would have made, how disciplined your children would be - whatever your goal is.
If you choose pain, it means you're choosing to leverage the difficulties of your past - the struggle, pain and frustration you felt. It means you're choosing to remind yourself that you have to keep a wide distance between you and where you started from.
Pleasure pulls you towards your destination, pain pushes you away from your starting point - both can get you where you're going, so which is it going to be for you?
Let me help you further.
If you choose pleasure, you must make sure you don't loose yourself in the land of wishful thinking, or baseless fantasy. You must understand that to achieve what you desire, there are requirements that must be fulfilled. You must find out what they are and fulfil them. Otherwise, you would not be successful beyond the four imaginary walls of your imagination.
If you choose pain as your driver, you must be ready to supervise. You must give it directions and instructions out of your better judgememt. If you give your child access to more money than they can handle because you don't want them to have the painful experience you had as a child because of lack, that child will drag your lineage back to the place you started from, which you worked so hard to rise above.
, I think this is a good place to wish you 'safe journey'.
Enjoy your ride.
I'm rooting for you.
