Have you ever seen a child suffering from kwashiokor? It's such a painful sight. If you don't live in areas where there is limited supply of food, chances are that you have not seen any, except in documentaries or on the internet.
Little Samuel has kwashiokor.
Buldging stomach, thin arms and legs, swollen hands and feet, hair loss - these are some disturbing symptoms this child has to deal with.
What does Samuel need?
That's the question that wasn't answered for him. He was not given the nutrient that he needed, he was given the nutrient that was available.
Be careful of working with what is available, rather than what is required.
What kind of discipline do I require for my dreams to be actualized? That's the first question you need to answer.
First you dream, then you figure out the disciplines, and next you apply yourself to them.
Your current disciplines might not be sufficient to birth your dreams, so don't get stuck on them. Don't get stuck on what's available, figure out what is required and give it!
Don't reduce your dreams to the level of your disciplines (Look at what that did to Samuel).
Instead, elevate your disciplines to the level of your dreams.
Samuel is your business, your ministry, your legacy - what kind of profit, impact and legacy do you want you to have? What will it take to get what you desire? Brace up and give it what it takes. If you can conceive the idea, then you have what it takes to see it through.
