When I started my business I really struggled with understanding that I am the CEO of me!!!! And what does that mean. Well, the number one job of a CEO is to look for opportunities to grow the business. I thought my business was the organization that I was forming named Financially Focused. However, that was the same mistake I made in my job in investment banking. Let me explain. When I left university in the 1990s (yes, I am dating myself), my goal was to get a job. I thought my job was my career. And so as I transistioned from job seeker to business woman, I thought that my business was my career. Neither idea was correct. My career is CEO of me. My career is building a portfolio of skills and expertise that will open doors to opportunities.

So when I learned how to look at my life as my career, I was able to shift my thinking to see that everything is an ASSET. Everything!!! And as you build your assets, you build your wealth and you build the life of your dreams.
