The need for training on Credit Restoration

Dr. Winston Adams, Group Executive Chairman, University of the Commonwealth Caribbean shares why his institution will partner with the Caribbean Credit Repair Association to offer credit restoration training. A good credit score has become more important than ever before. Credit repair specialists assist in the preparation of the appropriate letters to the credit bureaus and to debt collection agencies. Someone in credit repair needs to understand the probability that an item can get removed from a credit report based on several different factors. How old is the item? What type of item is it? Who is the creditor? Is it an open or closed account? Is it a charge-off? Has the item been paid or is it still outstanding? All these factors will either increase or decrease the probability that you or any company can get that item removed for the client. Professional credit repair specialists can provide a variety of options for how to handle negative items on your credit report, give you the pros and cons of each, and help you decide the best way to proceed based on your circumstances and your long-term credit and financial goals. These options may include disputing, paying off, negotiating removal, settling, or waiting out the credit reporting time limit. Learn How to Negotiate
As a credit repair specialist, you are an advocate for your clients who are in need of help in repairing their finances. In order to do that, you will negotiate with lenders and creditors on their behalf. If your client comes to you with $20,000 in credit card debt, you have to be able to negotiate with creditors to somehow lower your client’s debt down to something more manageable.
