I combined (2) LK100 knitting machines to make a long one, but I use an LK150 carriage and tension mast on the LK100. This way, I have more button settings to play with, and much easier to control the tension.
LK100 is a bulky gauge machine, so it accepts thicker yarns than LK150. Worsted-weight yarn is actually easier to knit on the LK100 machine. Even though it does not knit as wide as I hope on the double bed LK100 knitting machine, it still makes a good size throw blanket.
Since LK100 is much cheaper than the LK150 knitting machine on eBay or thrift stores, it makes more sense to connect (2) LK100 rather than (2) LK150.
