Get lucky by checking out the March events ☘️

Hi ,

“Luck is an accident that happens to the competent.” - Greenfield

Writing is a craft, but publishing is a business. While you can control what words you put on the page, once you go seeking readers there is an element of luck. Will you find an agent/editor? Will your efforts to self publish result in a cover that pulls people in? Will the promotion efforts work?

If you ever need a reminder that the sense of having control of your life is an illusion- try writing as a career plan. But while there are a million elements where all you can do is hope you have the luck of the Irish, your attitude is up to you. When this business knocks you down, pick yourself back up and remind yourself that luck and persistence are often confused.
