A few simple ways people are enjoying their bread

Hey, -
I’ve been thinking about all the different ways people might be enjoying their bread mixes once they get them home.
That thought made me smile.
One of the things I love about quick breads is how they quietly fit into so many small moments of the day.
Sometimes it’s fresh out of the oven at supper.
The bread is still warm.
Someone slices into it while the steam rises.
A simple cup of tea on the side.
Other times it shows up the next morning.
A slice warmed or lightly toasted.
A little butter melting into the crumb.
Maybe a bit of cream cheese.
A hot cup of coffee nearby.
I also imagine someone taking a slice out to the porch after dinner.
The day is winding down.
You’ve already had a good meal.
Now you’re sitting outside with something cold to drink and a small slice of bread for dessert.
Simple.
Unrushed.
Some people turn the mixes into muffins instead of a loaf.
A regular muffin you can take to work for breakfast.
Or mini muffins that sit on the counter and somehow disappear one by one during the day.
Pop one in your mouth as you pass through the kitchen.
Gone in two bites.
Those are the kinds of moments I think about when I make these mixes.
Not fancy occasions. Just everyday life.
I would love to hear how you’re enjoying yours.
Did you bake a loaf?
Did you make muffins?
Did you share it with someone… or keep it all to yourself? The latter is quite alright :-)
Simply hit reply and tell me. I always enjoy hearing what happens in your kitchen.
Warmly,
Makeda
