Yesterday in our weekly Let's Talk meetup for women we got on the topic of inspiration, and what has inspired each of us during the long months of staying home. Some of these were:
- Nature - looking outside or taking walks or drives
- Learning something new (Masterclass got a lot of stars, favorites being Daniel Pink, Bobbie Brown, and a few others)
- Art
- Music
Yesterday, Bill and I got to drive up to St. Pete and see the wonderful Van Gogh Alive exhibit, which we bought tickets for last August. It was amazing to see my favorite Van Gogh paintings coming to life all around us on the walls. And it certainly inspired me! Here's what I learned.
Your life's work, no matter what it is, shows your inner being.
This is twice now that I've sat in a room watching the paintings change as Van Gogh changed, and eventually descended into what was then called "madness." You can literally see his mind change, reflected in his paintings over a lifetime.
One of the things that changes me and inspires me is learning new things. Right now I'm focusing on improving my writing on my blog and making sure they are working to building visibility for me. To that end I was recommended by a friend an e-course called Easy On-Page SEO by a young woman who owns a flooring company. She has been blogging about flooring and other home topics and basically taught herself from scratch how to make good money from her blog. It's not a fancy product but it is full of easy-to-understand tips for improving your blog. If you're looking to do that you will gain from Easy On-Page SEO.
