Make sure these five web pages leave a trail to you

You know lately I've been digging more into keywords and keyword phrases (often called long-tailed keywords) and how important they are to you. Because.....to the outside world (your potential customers) the "what you offer" is all-important. Critical!


So, for example.....Lily isn't a "professional detailer" she is a "car and boat detail in Key West." People who need her services aren't going to search for "professional detailer" they are going to search for "boat detailing in Key West."


While you may be putting your key words in your blog posts I'm wondering if you have used them in your core web pages. What are core web pages?

  • About page
  • Product and service offer pages
  • Home page
  • Contact us page
  • Opt-in pages
  • Resource pages


Why is this important? Because these core pages help to build your domain authority and ranking!


Here's what to do:

  • Determine your key words and phrases if you haven't already. NOTE! As your business grows and changes these may need updating over time.
  • Make sure you weave them (not to sound like a bot) into each and every core web page you have.
  • Put a time on your calendar once every six months to evaluate your core web pages for needed updates.
