GrooveFunnels - Tips and an Update
Jun 09, 2021 9:01 pm
Hi ,
I've been playing with GrooveFunnels (which has a new name - Groove.CM) and wanted to update you on my likes and dislikes so far.
The new name? Groove.CM and the CM stands for Customers Matter. I'm imaging that GrooveFunnels was getting some blow-back from Russell over at ClickFunnels. Ha! But also - the name needed more differentiation.
OK - I hope you have played with Groove a little bit. It can be frustrating out of the gate, and at one point I just said to myself, "I'm letting this sit until fall, when they are rolling faster and out of beta testing." But, I was wrong.
Frustrations:
- They are rolling out updates and improvements so fast that it's hard for me to keep up with everything. Having said that, the website/landing page designs are top-notch and almost completely customizable.
- GrooveMail doesn't yet work but they are starting to warm up their IP addresses. If you don't understand what that means you can watch their video about "IP warming" which is tech talk for making sure the emails they send for you and me don't bounce back as undeliverable. Honestly, I wouldn't bother. If you are a PAID Groove customer you will get access to email before those who have a free account.
Things I like:
- It takes a lot of moving systems to run a solid online business. Just ask me about the bills I pay every month for shopping cart, email autoresponder systems, hosting, security systems, systems to shrink photos so that my site loads quickly - the list goes on and on. So I am still loving the idea that I bought one time, and when all these pieces come together I will never pay another monthly or annual fee. While I'm frustrated right now it's POWERFUL to have those fees off your bank account. So 2022 should set me free!
- The landing pages/websites are very sweet and smart designs.
- I can have my team members set up some of my products and courses in GrooveSell right now.
Tips:
- If you don't understand the different between GrooveSell and GrooveKart here's a blog post that explains it for you.
- If you got the free account (or the paid one) and haven't even opened up Groove.CM yet here's a get started introduction that will save you time.
- When you use a complete system like this one benefit to it is that it forces you to plan out your business. What do you want to offer? How do you want it to look? Who will be on your email list? Will you offer specials to people who have bought from you? These are things that we are often muddy about, to be honest. But ANY system you buy into (Groove or any other system) doesn't work well for you until you have clarity.
As I see helpful tips I'll be sure to pass them along. If you have been feeling like you need to get started be sure to watch the get started video (link about) and have your plan in mind. :-)
To your sweet success,
Sue Painter
