Here's what to explore this week

Hi ,

[Quick Notice] This afternoon at 3 PM Eastern my complimentary meetup for women entrepreneurs, Let's Talk, happens. You can register at this link but if you don't have time to register right now, you can still join us here on Zoom at 3 PM - no dressing up required.

Now - most entrepreneurs like to explore new ideas, new ways to do things, new collaborations. Is that you?

This week I explored two words that are fairly new to me. One is the word haptic. Haptic has to do with how things feel to us, through our fingers. I understand it - after all I was a pianist and a massage therapist for many years, touch is a part of my being. The new iPhones have haptic settings, you can maximize or minimize the amount of feedback the touch screen gives to your fingers!

The second new word I ran across in reading about trends in home design is the word biophilic. Biophilic design is about bringing natural elements into the built environment. This helps us mentally, physically, and spiritually. It immediately reminded me of living in Bali in a balé, their open-sided houses that let in nature's sounds, smells, fresh air, and light.

Biophilic design includes:

  • Direct connection to sensory forms of nature - like plants.
  • Viewing natural lushness through windows.
  • Lighting - both natural and artificial.

So what does exploration, haptic features, and biophilic design have to do with your life and business? Everything! These things help humans connect, perform, and be happy. Your offers should do the very same.

  • How can you connect with your prospects and customers more directly?
  • How can you help them feel like they've solved the problem they have come to you for?
  • How can you help light their path forward?
  • How can what you offer help your customers feel more alive, more human, happier?

These are "side benefits" of your offers, perhaps. But they are benefits, nevertheless. Especially if you offer a transformational service it's smart to pay attention to the feelings as well as the learned behaviors or tasks completed.

Looking for a new way to host your offers that looks updated and slick? I've been experimenting with Member Vault, which hosts your courses and creates a sort of "course catalog" for you. It's very updated, so far I like it. (That's my affiliate link.) You can look at the beginnings of my account by clicking here. It's something else to explore this week.

To your sweet success,

Sue Painter
