Unlock Scholarship Success: Your Students' 3 Must-Do Summer Strategies!

Jun 13, 2023 12:33 am

Hey!

I hope that all is well in your part of the world.

Summer break is a time for relaxation and it can be a great time for your students to increase their chances of being eligible for more best-fit scholarships.

*Remind your students that it's not about quantity of time, but quality of time!*

Here's a few strategies to help your students maximize their summer breaks:

  1. Create or update their scholarship search resume. This is especially critical if you are providing customized scholarship research services as a part of your college admissions consulting packages. A scholarship search resume is a centralized document of your students' personal and professional brands.
  2. Connect with at least one local organization. Encourage your students to offer to volunteer for an upcoming event, help organize a fundraiser, or propose a new project that aligns with their interests or hobbies. Make sure that your students document their experiences with specific details (date, time, project details, location, supervisors, lessons learned, etc.)
  3. Connect with at least one local industry group. Most industry associations have local or regional groups and websites outlining upcoming meetings. Encourage your students to ask about upcoming student-friendly events and scholarship opportunities.

If your students complete just one of the above strategies, they are setting themselves up for scholarship success!

Before I close this email, I wanted to let you know about another way that your college admissions consulting services can be even more valuable to your students. If you are interested in learning more about providing customized scholarship solutions for your clients, reply to this email.

Until next time,
