If you've read Subversive, you know there's a situation where β slight spoiler β the activists in the Women's League for the Prohibition of Magic discover that someone has very deviously used magic to alter key dates on an important contract.
It's supposed to discredit the women by making them look hapless, like they made a stupid error.
And if you've read the free-and-exclusive prequel, Clandestine, you might remember there's a scene where the women strike the deal where that contract is signed.
Well, funny story: The version of the prequel I handed out to most of you has the women picking those wrong dates. You know, as if they actually made that hapless mistake.
Can I blame the magiocracy for making me look hapless? :-D
No, no, stay with me here: I have a series calendar for avoiding just this sort of mix-up. And I actually did catch it in the draft ("haha," I probably said to myself, "good thing I didn't let that through"). But then somehow, I uploaded the version with the wrong dates anyway.
Totally blaming the wizards on the dirty tricks squad for that.
Thank you to eagle-eyed reader Karen Minthorne for bringing this to my attention! You get honorary membership in the League for your important service. π
Oh, and if any other mistakes are lurking in the prequel, hilarious or otherwise? Do let me know. The awesome narrator of the series, Leanne Woodward, will be turning it into an audiobook soon. π (Which reminds me: Radical is now out in audio, yay!)

A few more cool & bookish things
Have you read the romantic fantasy Stariel series? You guys, I love it. Imagine if Downton Abbey had a more awesome fantasy counterpart. Now add in the best fae character you can think of. And that still doesn't fully capture the magic of A.J. Lancaster's delightful, addictive books.
The King of Faerie is the final installment in the quartet, and it's newly out. I won't say what that's about so as not to spoil the earlier books if you haven't found them yet, but here's how the series kicks off:
Hetta, scandalous daughter of the Lord of Stariel, returns home after his death for what she expects will be a short stay before she goes back to her job as an illusionist. Except Stariel has surprises in store for her. Big ones.

And here are free-for-everyone paranormal romance and urban fantasy books, from the real ghosts challenging a fake duke to a witch falling for a monster hunter.
You made it to the end! You're awesome. (And oh hey, here are my latest books. In an America run by wizards and 100 years behind on women's rights, she resists. He's the wizard who just hired her.)
