Wizards never came to Ellicott Mills anymore. Beatrix stared at the contrary specimen striding toward her and had a fleeting thought—more of a hope, really—that he simply needed directions to some other place.
That's the opening to Subversive. If you've been eyeing the book, here's your chance to grab it for just 99 cents.
Along with a bunch of other tempting gaslamp fantasy novels. (I've so enjoyed the ones I've already read, and gathering my pennies to grab more.)
(If you've been specifically eyeing the audiobooks for any of the novels in this sale, snaffling the ebook cheap is a great way to get the Audible audio version at a discount, by the way. Have I mentioned how magnificent my narrator is?)
Hope you find some perfect-for-you reads!
On another book-related note (this segue will never not work), thank you: I asked to pick your collective brains last month with an extremely short survey to make sure I knew what you liked about the books I've already written so I can lean in to those things for future books.
And boy, did you come through.
I figured it would be helpful in a scientific sort of way. And it was: very good to know that many of you also like magic and equal-rights struggles and alternate timelines and sharp-edged characters falling for each other against their better judgment, among other things.
But also ... wow, it was an unexpected warm hug to hear what you connected with in these words I'm flinging out into the world.
So, thank you. Warm hug right back atcha.
I'll keep everything you said in mind as I fling words onto the page at turtle speed. (Can turtles fling?)
And if you love taking surveys and missed out last month, here's your second chance. Remember while you're there to grab the story that's usually only available in the series box set, linked as a gift.

You made it to the end! You're awesome. (Of course.) And oh hey, here are my latest books.
