🖊️ Intro

We are stoked to have had so much great feedback on these emails. It seems that everyone is enjoying the format and information here. If you have any ideas about other things we could include, we'd love to hear it.

🗄️ Useful links

1️. 📜 Unroll.me

How many times do you open up your email inbox and think "I really should unsubscribe from that"? I do it all the time. Sometimes, I push the unsubscribe button. Sometimes, I think "I'll do it later".

What if you could unsubscribe from everything in one go? This handy website lets you do just that. It also lets you bundle emails subscriptions you want to keep into one email.

2️. 📧 Boomerang

This tool lets you pick a date and time to send an email. Say you have an important email to send but, you don't want it to get lost in the rush of weekend emails. Maybe, you want to send it on Monday morning. You could simply save it to drafts and hope you remember to send it when you get to work on Monday. Or, you could use boomerang to schedule it.

Extra tip from our friend Hannah Fitzgibbon. Use boomerang to schedule your follow-up emails. Say you just emailed a client, and you mention that you will follow up with them in a weeks time. Why not write and schedule that follow-up email right now using boomerang.

This is a Gmail only tool (if you use Thunderbird you could try the "send later" extension).

3️. 🎯 Hunter.io

Ever had this situation? You've got a problem with your account on xyz.com and you need to contact customer support. You go searching for an email address but, no matter where you look, you just can't find one.

That's where Hunter comes in. Simply type in the URL of the website and let hunter find you an email address.

😎 What we're up to

We get a lot of emails. This isn't a problem. For the most part we like emails. It means we have everything on record. It helps us clear up any misunderstandings fast because we have a copy of everything that has been mentioned in emails. The problem can be finding these emails. The search function for most email clients are slow and clunky.

Here's what we do instead. Every morning we go through our email inboxes (we have multiple email accounts). The goal is to get these to zero.

For each email it either gets deleted or moved into one of three folders.

Respond to - Any email that requires a response goes here

Waiting For - Any email that requires something else to happen before we can take action goes in here

To Review - Any email we want to read goes in here.

Now that the inbox is at zero it can be left alone.

Next we turn our attention to the three folders. We go through each email in each folder and see if it can be actioned. If it can, we take the action otherwise we leave it there.

Once we are done with an email we either delete it or move it to another folder.

We have folders for each client and organisation we deal with. By moving the email into the appropriate folder, it becomes very easy to find should we ever need to refer back to it.

We are looking for testimonials. We are just about to launch our new website and have a section for testimonials. It's currently empty (because we are terrible at asking for them). So, if you were happy with the service we provided, we would love it if you could flick us an email with a short testimonial.

We thank you in advance and as always:

"If you have any questions, please fire us an email. We are always happy to help."
