Easy Packable meals for busy days!

Oh for crying out loud! Last week offered a clear reminder of my mail merge rustiness when I accidentally used your email address field instead of your first name. 🤦‍♀️

I couldn't help but giggle at the sight and thought, well, nothing to do but laugh it off, right? The old me would have likely panicked, frantically trying to recall the message or immediately firing off an apology or correction. I would have felt incredibly self-conscious, worried you'd think I was completely incompetent.

However, the current me has invested so much in cultivating self-confidence, and I now recognize that minor blips like that simply don't hold much weight in the grand scheme of things. Cosmetic errors, even visible ones, don't deserve any worry energy. Our focus needs to remain on the work that truly matters.

Of course, if I had made a mistake with a coupon code, presented factually incorrect information, or shared something potentially harmful, that would absolutely require immediate correction. But it's like to getting dressed in the morning. (Like 2 examples of my son yesterday and an inside joke with the neighbors!) No one really cares if your shirt is on backward, but someone should definitely point out if you've forgotten your pants. 😂 I'll keep you guessing on which happened to my son and which is the inside joke. 😉

In all aspects of life – fitness, skating, work, family – we can easily get bogged down and distracted by insignificant mistakes. What small, superficial thing can you let go of this week? How can you channel the spirit of this email and shrug off a minor error, redirecting your energy to what truly counts?

Wishing you a calm and confident week, ! (Did I get it right this time?)

Best,

Coach Holly

  • Book Recommendation: I recently finished "Half of a Yellow Sun” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, a powerful and deeply moving novel about the Biafran/Nigerian civil war in the late 1960s. If you enjoy lifestyle fiction that also immerses you in African history, I highly recommend it.
